Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remain engulfed in smog

Lahore; Smog engulfed Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday and Lahore once again joined the world’s most polluted cities. Lahore’s average AQI (Air Quality Index) was recorded at 780 early in the morning. However, it was reduced to 706.Around 10:15 am, the Swiss monitor dropped Lahore to second place behind the Indian capital Delhi on IQAir’s chart. Delhi’s AQI was 936. Lahore’s Syed Murbat Ali Road had an AQI of 1,404, the American Consulate area had an AQI of 826, while the DHA area had an AQI of 916.
