ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to deploy Rangers and FC in the capital on November 24, 2024 in view of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests. The Ministry of Interior has issued a notification approving the deployment of Rangers. . FC issued. Chief Commissioner Islamabad wrote a letter to the Ministry of Interior for the deployment of forces. According to the notification issued, Rangers and FC will have powers under the Anti-Terrorism ActOn the other hand, on November 24, the Islamabad Police started finalizing the preparations regarding the PTI protest. The containers were transported to Faizabad from Islamabad and Srinagar highway entrances. Containers are also being delivered at No. 26 Chongi and Khanna bridges. It should be noted that the founder of PTI, imprisoned in Adiala Jail, has given a final call for protest in the capital on November 24, for which party leaders and workers are busy preparing.On the last day, Islamabad Police, preparing a strategy to deal with the protest, decided to buy 40 thousand tear gas shells and 2 thousand tear gas shells. Apart from this, 50 thousand rubber bullets will be ordered along with 2500 guns. Police has also ordered 5 thousand anti-rights kits. 22 thousand youths including Rangers, FC, Punjab and Sindh will be deployed in Islamabad. A letter was sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs based on recommendations for procurement of goods and calling of personnel.
