Half-centuries from Farhan Yousaf, Haroon Arshad, Shahzeb Khan and Usman Khan helped Pakistan U-19 beat UAE U-19 by 191 runs in the fifth match of the U-19 tri-series at the ICC Cricket Academy Ground in Dubai on Friday. Defeat. The win also confirmed Pakistan’s place in the final, where they are scheduled to face Afghanistan U-19 on Tuesday 26 November. The match will start at 9.30 am local time. It was Pakistan’s second consecutive win in the tournament after defeating UAE by 10 wickets in the opening match. The team led by Saad Baig had beaten Afghanistan by 13 runs in their previous match as well but had to face a defeat against Afghanistan before the tournament. After electing to bat first, Pakistan scored 314 for five in 50 overs, their best score in the series.. The left-arm opening pair of Shahzeb Khan and Usman Khan continued their fine form and put on a 96-run partnership for the first wicket. Usman (50, 64b, 7x4s) and Shahzeb (71, 84b, 5x4s, 2x6s) ) scored a fluent half-century. – After both centuries, Farhan Yousaf (63, 50b, 3x4s, 4x4s) and Haroon Arshad (54, 34b, 4x4s, 2x6s) put on 75 runs for the fourth wicket.. Fahamul Haq scored 37 runs off 48 balls which included one four and two sixes. Noorullah Ayyubi and Udesh Suri took two wickets each for the United Arab Emirates. 52 for the loss of five wickets in 16 overs. At that stage, Ayan Misbah (17, 46b, 1×4) and Suri (32 not out, 61b, 4x4s) put on a 21-run partnership for the sixth wicket, before Misbah was dismissed by Umar Zeb in the 26th over.. 123 in the 37th over. Naveed Ahmed Khan took three wickets while Umar took four wickets for 51 runs.
