President Xi Jinping told Nepali Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli on Tuesday that China would offer more support for the country’s infrastructure development, according to Chinese state media. Li Qiang is seeking to boost infrastructure cooperation after breaking with a long-standing tradition of new leaders making their first official visit to neighboring India. China was ready. “To deepen practical cooperation with Nepal, jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) with high standards,to enhance connectivity in areas such as ports, transportation, power grids and telecommunications,” the official Xinhua news agency quoted Xi as saying.
