Lahore: The Utsaq-e-Pakistan Party has taken a strong stand against India’s recent attempts to destabilize peace in the region. In a bold move, the party submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly, condemning India’s false flag operation regarding the Pahalgam attack and the unilateral termination of the Indus Waters Treaty.
The resolution, submitted by MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, condemns the baseless attribution of the Pahalgam attack to Pakistan, calling it an attempt to sabotage peace efforts and escalate tensions. The resolution firmly rejects the accusations against Pakistan and urges the Indian government to provide evidence before making such serious claims.
One of the key points highlighted in the resolution is India’s unilateral termination of the Indus Waters Treaty. The resolution states that this move is not only a violation of international principles but also a direct threat to Pakistan’s water security. It emphasizes that river water is Pakistan’s lifeline, and any attempt to restrict its flow is seen as a direct declaration of war.
MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, while presenting the resolution, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and regional stability but made it clear that any aggression towards Pakistan’s sovereignty and resources will not be tolerated. He stressed that the international community must take notice of India’s actions, which could have far-reaching consequences for peace in South Asia.
The resolution has garnered strong support from across the political spectrum, with members of the Punjab Assembly uniting in solidarity to stand up for Pakistan’s rights. The Utsaq-e-Pakistan Party’s decisive action reflects the nation’s resolve to defend its territorial and resource-based interests in the face of external threats.
