Toshakhana case hearing adjourned without proceedings

A special court adjourned the hearing of the Toshakhana case against PTI founder Imran Khan until February 27 without any proceedings.The court staff officially informed the parties that Special Judge Central, Shahrukh Arjumand had adjourned the hearing.The court has recorded statements of eight witnesses while cross-examination of all of them has also been completed.During the previous hearing, the lawyer for the PTI founder cross-examined the eighth witness. He had also filed a petition for an open trial instead of a jail trial.The petitioner had also sought to halt the hearing until a decision is made on the request for an open trial.The court has issued notices to the parties regarding the open trial plea.The petitioner has made superintendent of Adiala Jail, FIA, and the Punjab Home Department as respondents.
