The country’s football federation has changed the national team’s kit and logo from red to green after Syrian rebels overthrew the government of President Bashar al-Assad. The rebels took control of the capital Damascus without resistance on Sunday after a rapid advance. After 13 years of civil war and six decades of dictatorial rule by his family, Assad fled to Russia. In light of these developments, the Syrian Football Federation of MenAnnounced a change in the national team’s kit and logo.
