PTI’s Omar Ayub says govt not serious in talks

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Omar Ayub Khan said on Saturday that a committee was formed for talks with the government on the instructions of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan so that the government did not have an excuse that the party was not serious in talks.Talking to reporters at district courts in Islamabad, Omar, also a PTI leader, said that on the contrary, the government was not serious in negotiations. “The government has not allowed the committee members to meet the former prime minister,” he lamented.Earlier, a court granted interim bail to Omar in a case registered against him at the Secretariat Police Station of Islamabad, while he withdrew his bail petition when it came to light that no case had been registered against him at Aabpara police station.The court ordered the police to produce the record of two cases registered at Bhara Kahu police station and one case registered at Koral police station to ascertain whether the leader of the opposition was nominated in them.Additional Sessions Judge Raja Asif said that he would give decisions on these petitions today.Omar appeared in the court along with his lawyers Babar Awan, Amina Ali and others to seek bail in five cases registered against him under the sections related to violation of section 144, interference in official duty,
