Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) held a rally here on Saturday to mark Black Day against what it said was rigging in elections on Feb 8, 2024, with its leaders in their speeches criticizing the federal government for running the country in an ‘undemocratic manner’ and ‘muffling the voices of dissidents’ in one way or the other.Addressing the charged rally, PTI leader Barrister Gohar said democracy would exist when votes were counted, alleging PTI’s mandate was stolen in Feb 8, 2024 elections.”We demand rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution. Our mandate was stolen in the dead of night.”The prosperity of the people of Pakistan depends on better economy. We want to safeguard the Constitution,” the PTI leader said in his address to the rally.Addressing the mammoth rally, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said the present government did not rule the hearts of people.”We will fight, die, and move forward. We hold green flag in our hands, and green color symbolizes peace,” the firebrand PTI leader said.Recently appointed KP PTI President Junaid Akbar also addressed the rally and said his party wanted to see the institutions strengthened.
