PM Shehbaz orders swift action against Islamabad rioters

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has demanded immediate action against those involved in the recent riots in Islamabad and warned that anyone who tries to destabilize the country’s economy will face strict action. Top government officials including Interior Minister Mohsin Hussain participated in the high-level meeting. Naqvi and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Sharif asserted that no innocent civilians should be arrested during the crackdown.. Sabotage our rapidly stabilizing economy,” Sharif said while addressing the meeting. “Immediate action should be taken against those responsible for the recent violence, vandalism, and damage to public and private property in Islamabad.” He also directed that efforts to identify and collect concrete evidence against the culprits should be intensified, a task force should be dedicated. Sharif to deal with unrestemphasized the importance of ensuring that only rioters are arrested and innocent persons are not detained. He further directed that all necessary resources should be allocated to the task force which is responsible for investigation and action against those involved behind the mess. Funds will be released immediately to speed up the work of the new jail in Islamabad.
