Pakistan calls for respect for Syria’s sovereignty

Spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, has emphasized the need to reduce tension and respect the sovereignty of Syria. During his weekly media briefing in Islamabad, Baloch said that the current situation in Syria is a major threat to regional peace, and that there is a need for peace. And security was essential in Syria. He also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the United Nations’ demand for Israel to vacate Palestine.. He further said that the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza should be stopped immediately. The spokesman further said that the international community should take note of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and condemned India’s occupation of Kashmiri properties in Kishtwar and expressed Pakistan’s strong opposition to such actions.
