The historic convention of overseas Pakistanis has begun in a grand manner in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, and will continue until April 15.
More than 1,000 overseas Pakistanis from around the world attended the convention, while thousands more Pakistanis were unable to attend due to lack of time and connections.
A special dinner was also organized by the Army Chief and the Prime Minister for the participants of the convention, which created excitement among overseas Pakistanis.
This warm hospitality won the hearts of Pakistanis abroad by highlighting their importance at the government level.This convention reflects the serious efforts of the Pakistani government for overseas Pakistanis.
This gathering, held after a long time, not only brought the overseas community together on one platform but also clearly weakened the influence of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf abroad.The steady increase in remittances and the growing trust of overseas Pakistanis in the government have completely changed the atmosphere.
OPF Chairman Syed Qamar Raza, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Punjab Overseas Commission Chairman Barrister Amjad Malik played key roles in the successful organization of the convention.
The efforts of these leaders have provided Pakistanis around the world with a rare opportunity to connect with their homeland, especially a large delegation from Japan led by PML-N Japan President Malik Noor Awan, who attended the convention and highlighted the problems and suggestions of the Japanese Pakistani community.
On this occasion, Malik Noor Awan said that we have come to our homeland from Japan with full emotions so that we can inform the government about the services and problems of Pakistanis abroad.During various sessions of the convention, detailed consultations are being held on the issues of the overseas community, possibilities for increasing remittances, investment opportunities, and government facilities.
According to analysts, this convention will not only have a positive impact on government policies but will also instill new hope in the hearts of overseas Pakistanis.More important meetings and consultative sessions will be held today and tomorrow during the convention, which will be attended by senior government figures and representatives of the overseas community.
