Islamabad (August 13, 2025): An important session of the National Assembly will be held today at 11 am under the chairmanship of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, in which there is a strong possibility of moving a motion to declare the seat of opposition member Sheikh Waqas Akram vacant. The Assembly Secretariat has released a 16-point agenda for the session.

According to the agenda, government member Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar will move a motion in the House, after the approval of which Sheikh Waqas Akram’s membership will be formally terminated.
