Mohammad Amir announces retirement from International Cricket

After the retirement of all-rounder Imad Wasim, Pakistan’s fast bowler Muhammad Amir has also announced his retirement from international cricket. A day before that, Imad Wasim had announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket. Both players last represented Pakistan during the 2024 T20 World Cup. Expressing his thoughts on his retirement, Mohammad Amir said that Pakistan in all three formats of the game. He admitted that it was a difficult decision. But felt that the time was right to pass on the responsibility to the next generation and help take Pakistan cricket to new heights. Aamir thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). For his unwavering support throughout his career and his eagerness to continue the team’s performances. He also thanked the Pakistani fans for their continuous support during his cricketing journey. It should be noted that Mohammad Amir has played 36 Test matches, 81 One Day Internationals. And took a total of 271 wickets in 71 T20 matches for Pakistan during his career.
