Murray: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Pakistan should not compromise on its sovereignty, religious values and international principles. He strongly criticized the government’s proposal to award the Nobel Peace Prize to US President Donald Trump, calling it an “insult to the oppressed.”
Addressing the JUI-F Punjab General Council in Phagwari area of Murray, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said, “Trump’s hands are stained with the blood of Palestinians, Iraqis and Afghans, and the attack on Iran is a clear violation of international laws.”
He made it clear that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam stands with Iran and will strongly oppose efforts to separate religion from politics. He said, “Madras are our ideological foundation, we will not compromise on their sovereignty, neither in the past nor now has any establishment accepted them.”
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that JUI-F is a people’s force and stopping it is tantamount to suppressing public opinion. He revealed that the US delegation met him three times in the last three months, after which he also attended a diplomatic function.
“We want relations with America, but slavery is not acceptable in any way. Relations should be based on mutual respect, economic independence and public mandate,” he said categorically.
He said that India should also reconsider its behavior now, “Modi’s era is now a part of the past, Pakistan was united in the recent tension and India was left alone.”
He urged the party workers to broaden their thinking on local issues as well as national and international levels and convey the party message to every section of society with the spirit of public service.
