Karachi: Pakistan’s leading actress Mahira Khan has shared an interesting incident based on age-related criticism and her mother’s reaction, in which she not only demonstrated self-confidence but also conveyed a beautiful message of living with the truth.

Mahira Khan said in a recent interview that she was criticized for her age during the release of a film. Her mother showed a video clip, in which a person was making fun of Mahira’s age.

According to the actress, her mother gently advised: “After all, why don’t you hide your age? What is the need to tell everyone?”

To this, Mahira Khan replied with a laugh:
“Why should I hide my age? I am who I am, I should be accepted as I am.”

“I have never turned my back on the truth”
Mahira Khan added in the conversation that she has always lived every stage of her life with integrity — be it marriage, motherhood or divorce. “How can I hide my age when I have never hidden all this?”

I don’t care about criticism, I respect everyone’s opinion
The actress said that criticism about her age does not bother her.
“I welcome everyone’s opinion. Differences of opinion are natural, but I believe in living with the truth about myself.”
