London: Four suspects convicted in £17 million drug trafficking case

 

The British Kingston Crown Court sentenced four defendants involved in a 17 million pound drug trafficking case

.Following an extensive investigation by specialized law enforcement officers, a group of four individuals have been convicted of importing and distributing nearly 500 kilograms of cocaine.

According to law enforcement officers, the drug trafficking gang was importing cocaine from the Netherlands and distributing it throughout London, which was caught during an active operation.

Three members of the gang, 59-year-old Bert de Jong from the Netherlands, 22-year-old Hussain Sakhi from Northolt and 21-year-old Zeba Zahoor from Uxbridge, were sentenced on April 7 after a four-week trial for importing and distributing cocaine.

Justin Morris, 23, a fourth member of the gang from the British city of Slough, pleaded guilty on March 11 last month to conspiracy to evade a ban on the import of cocaine and conspiracy to supply cocaine.Court proceedings revealed that large quantities of cocaine were distributed by lorry across London.
