KP Budget: Founder PTI summons party leaders for crucial consultations

ISLAMABAD – A major development has emerged regarding the budget for the upcoming fiscal year of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has summoned the party’s top leadership for consultations before approving the budget.
According to PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram, Ali Amin Gandapur, Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz and Muzammil Aslam have been summoned for a special meeting today on the instructions of the party chairman.
Waqas Akram said in a statement:
“The approval of the KP budget will be given only after consulting the founder PTI. The party leadership will seek guidance on key points of the budget so that the provincial government’s policy is in line with public expectations.â€
According to political observers, this move is a sign that the PTI is taking important government decisions under the direct supervision of the founding leadership, and no step is being taken in sensitive matters like the budget without the approval of the party leadership.
It should be noted that the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently facing several financial and administrative challenges, and the upcoming budget is being described as a major political test for them.
