Internet, broadband services to be blocked tonight

Interior Ministry has decided to stop internet service in major cities of Punjab. Jaiga sources say that it includes Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan and other cities. The decision to suspend the mobile phone service will be taken after reviewing the ground situation.Home Ministry has ordered PTA to stop mobile and internet service from midnight. Tonight, PTA sources say that they have received a letter in this regard from the Ministry of Interior yesterday. Sources say that they are currently reviewing the situation according to which they may suspend mobile and internet services tomorrow. Mobile phone and internet services are likely to be suspended from midnight today.
