(Web Desk) – YouTube is rolling out a new gifting feature during live streams, allowing viewers to buy “jewels” and send them to their favorite creators as gifts. Announced at September’s *Made on YouTube* event, the feature is rolling out gradually. United States for creators eligible in the YouTube Partner Program. Similar to TikTok’s gift system, which uses “coins” to send gifts, YouTube’s version lets users buy jewelry.These jewels contribute to the creator’s earnings in the form of “rubies”, worth one cent each. However, YouTube notes that the exact amount of rubies received may fluctuate, as the price of jewelry may change based on ongoing promotions. To incentivize creators, YouTube is offering a bonus of up to 50% on the next three months’ earnings, with qualified creators who can earn an additional $1,000 a month.
