Meanwhile, eastern parts of the UK could see heavy rain and snow in the highlands.The Met Office has said 76 UK cities are at risk of power outages and mobile phone signals being affected, which could disrupt service.In addition, rail, air and ferry services may also be affected, and roads and bridges may be closed.The Meteorological Department has warned that gusty winds of 70 to 80 km per hour can wreak havoc, disrupting normal life.
