Heavy rain, strong winds forecast across Pakistan starting today

Meteorologists have predicted a cold wave with strong winds and rain in most parts of the country from today (Sunday). There is a possibility of rain with thunder in and around Islamabad. Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Lahore and Faisalabad will experience thundershowers, Murree, Guliyat and nearby areas will experience light to moderate rain and mountains. Snowfall is likely, while Chitral, Dir, Swat and Malakand will experience thundershowers.. The Meteorological Department has said that the weather is likely to remain cold and dry in most of the districts of Sindh, while the cold will persist in most of the areas of Balochistan. Rain and snowfall are likely in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. According to the meteorological data, yesterday’s lowest temperature was recorded as minus 10 degrees Celsius in Leh and minus 9 degrees Celsius in Skardu. The lowest temperature is expected in Lahore. Lows around 7°C with highs around 17°C.
