Hearing of intra-court appeals against trial of civilians in military courts today

A seven-member constitutional bench will hear intra-court appeals against the decisions of civilians’ trial in military courts today (Tuesday).Defense Ministry’s counsel Khawaja Haris will resume his arguments before the bench headed by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan. The bench included Justices Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Musarat Hilali, Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Shahid Bilal Hassan.Advocate Haris has been arguing before the bench for two weeks. The bench has also sought details from the Ministry of Defense regarding the trial of civilians in military courts.The last hearing of the case was held on January 17. The case was de-listed last Monday due to the unavailability of Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan.
