On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, global search engine Google has released a special doodle decorated with a green crescent flag, paying tribute to the beloved homeland in a unique way.

This year’s doodle shows the national flag of Pakistan waving in the blue sky, while the Google logo is creatively displayed in the form of clouds. This view perfectly reflects freedom, sovereignty and national dignity.

Google often changes its doodle to pay tribute to important days, cultural heritage and prominent personalities of the world, and Pakistan’s Independence Day has also been a permanent part of this tradition.

The doodle is exclusive to users in Pakistan and is featured on Google’s homepage on August 14.
The Pakistani people and the Pakistani community around the world have highly appreciated Google’s initiative on social media and have called it a global recognition of the Independence Day celebration.
