First Overseas Pakistani Convention in Islamabad; Overseas Pakistanis given state guest status on the instructions of the Prime Minister

A two-day “Overseas Pakistanis Convention” for overseas Pakistanis is underway in the federal capital, in which more than 1,500 overseas Pakistanis from more than 80 countries of the world are participating.

The participants have been given state guest status. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said that overseas Pakistanis should discuss the issues of elections, the Prime Minister and the Army Chief will address the convention tomorrow.

The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, the national anthem and the slogans of Pakistan Zindabad. The convention was also attended by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, federal ministers, Pakistani ambassadors posted abroad and important figures associated with various fields.

These views were expressed by Chairman Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Syed Qamar Raza while addressing the inaugural ceremony. He said that Shahbaz Sharif will announce a special package for overseas Pakistanis during his address to the convention.

Today, General Asim Munir will host a dinner for the side of the convention, while Shahbaz Sharif will also attend the meeting tomorrow.
The Army Chief will also address the convention tomorrow. On this important occasion, the services of overseas Pakistanis and their role in the country’s economy are being appreciated, while their problems and issues are being heard.

Overseas Pakistanis say that the overseas Pakistani government is with the times, they hope that the government’s policy and overseas Pakistan will open new fields of investment.

He further said that overseas Pakistanis have also expressed their determination that Pakistan has done everything possible for us.
Overseas Pakistanis are making Pakistan’s name bright in the world, Atta Tarar. Minister of Information Atta Tarar said that while calling it an Overseas Pakistani Convention in Pakistan, the purpose of the convention is to appreciate the services of overseas Pakistanis.

He said that overseas Pakistanis are making Pakistan’s name bright in the world, overseas Pakistanis send thousands of dollar tickets every year.

Atta Tarar further said that overseas Pakistanis are the crown of our country, overseas Pakistanis play an important role in the economy of the country, overseas Pakistanis play an important role in the development of the country.
