Federal Minister Amir Muqam visits flood-affected areas, expresses solidarity with victims

Shangla — Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Engineer Amir Muqam visited the recent flood-affected areas of Shangla and Buner, where he personally assessed the damage to infrastructure and the difficulties faced by the affected people. During the visit, he met the affected families and assured full solidarity and cooperation from the federal government.
The Federal Minister inspected the union councils of Musakhel, Koz Pao and Deir Sar in Tehsil Makhuzi, which have been badly affected after the recent torrential rains. Along with this, he also visited the important Choga Bridge connecting Shangla (Poron) and Buner, which is a hub for transportation and has been severely affected in the recent rains.
Amir Muqam directed the district administration, NHA and other concerned agencies present on the spot:
“Relief activities in the affected areas should be expedited immediately and the repair work of the affected bridge should be completed on priority basis, so that connectivity between the two districts can be restored.”
While talking to the affected families, he said:
“We share your grief equally. The federal government is fully aware of your difficulties and will provide all possible assistance. Normal life will be restored in the affected areas as soon as possible.”
Positive response from the public
The affected people welcomed the visit of the federal minister and said that the presence of government representatives on the ground has boosted their morale. They expressed the hope that not only immediate assistance will be provided but also permanent rehabilitation measures will be taken.
