Fawad Chaudhry Urges PTI to Reassess Strategy, Emphasizes Need for Dialogue for Political Stability

Islamabad: Former federal minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has called for introspection within PTI, stating that the party’s current strategy lacks clarity and has failed to create meaningful political pressure on the government.

Speaking on recent political developments, Chaudhry said the PTI leadership needs to take a step back to help de-escalate political tensions in the country. He asserted that the party must shift its approach to move forward effectively, especially in a rapidly evolving political environment.

“The PTI’s policy direction remains ambiguous, and the current leadership has been unable to build alliances or effectively challenge the government,” he remarked.

Emphasizes Inclusive Dialogue

Fawad Chaudhry stressed the need for inclusive dialogue with all political parties and the establishment, saying such efforts are essential to ensure political stability in the country. “Political progress cannot be achieved in isolation,” he added.

Comments on Internal Party Dynamics

Addressing the party’s internal matters, Chaudhry noted that Salman Akram Raja’s political experience is limited to the last 10 months, and his role has created discomfort among senior leaders like Umar Ayub and Asad Qaiser.

He clarified that Aleema Khan has no political role, dismissing speculation about her involvement in party decisions.

“Maulana Fazlur Rehman only recognizes Asad Qaiser from PTI’s leadership, which shows the gap in broader political communication,” Chaudhry added, underscoring the need for the party to rebuild relationships across the political spectrum.
