Faisal Qureshi’s message of peace: “Artists should be ambassadors of love, not hate”

Karachi: Senior Pakistani actor and renowned host Faisal Qureshi, while discussing Pakistan-India relations, has said that the hateful attitude adopted by India towards Pakistan is one-sided, while Pakistani artists have always been in favor of love, peace and cultural harmony.
During a recent podcast, Faisal Qureshi spoke openly about his artistic life experiences as well as Pak-India relations, anti-Pakistan content in Indian films, and the prejudices created within the Indian people.
He said that the Indian film industry and especially the current government are trying to make art a weapon of hatred, and often anti-Pakistan narratives are included in films and web series to instill negative emotions in the hearts of the people.
Faisal Qureshi revealed that anti-Pakistan scenes were deliberately added to some Indian series before their release, and many of his Indian friends themselves express shame over this. He believes that the minds of the new generation are being biased by distorting history.
Faisal Qureshi said:
“The politics of hate has neither achieved anything in the past nor in the future. The job of artists is to connect borders, not to break them. We have always been and will remain messengers of love.”
He also advised young artists to spread peace, tolerance and brotherhood along with their artistic responsibilities.
