DG FIA and IG KP removed from posts

Director General (DG) FIA Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir and Inspector General (IG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Akhtar Hayat were removed from their posts. DG FIA Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir was removed from his post, a notification has also been issued to make Ahmed Ishaq Jahangir OSD in the establishment. Sources say that in recent days, cases of involvement of FIA officers in several cases of human trafficking have come to light. On the other hand, a notification has also been issued to remove IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat. Sources say that IG KP was removed from his post because he was proving to be unable to maintain law and order in the province for a long time. It may be recalled that the dismissed IGP Akhtar Hayat had instructed all police officers during the PTI protest in November 2024 not to participate in any kind of political activities.
