CM Maryam blames opponent for attacking friendly country

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif accused a political opponent of “attacking a friendly country”, referring to recent comments by a former first lady while addressing a Kachi Canal restoration ceremony. Describing the rehabilitation of the canal as a major achievement, Maryam highlighted that the project started under Nawaz Sharif, with the promise that it would irrigate thousands of acres of vast land in Balochistan.The improvement in Pakistan’s economic indicators, including a record rise in the stock market and falling inflation, has been attributed to the leadership of the Muslim League-N (N) government. Maryam accused the PTI of diplomatic failures and fomenting differences between provinces. He claimed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was fueling unrest, undermining national unity, and warned that such measures were a deterrent to investment.Maryam assured the people of her government’s commitment to fight insurgency and terrorism.
