Dhaka: The Bangladesh Cricket Board has officially announced the T20 squad for the tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Pakistan. The team will play a short series of 2 matches against the UAE before the tour of Pakistan, after which it will participate in a 5-match T20 series against Pakistan.

Both matches against the UAE will be played on May 17 and 19, while the Bangladesh team will arrive in Pakistan on May 21. The squad will be led by experienced batsman Liton Das.

The names of the players included in the announced squad are:
Tanzid Hossain, Parvez Hossain, Soumya Sarkar, Nazmul Hasan Shinto, Shamim Hossain, Zakir Ali, Rashad Hossain, Mehdi Hasan, Tanvir Islam, Mustafizur Rahman and Hassan Mahmood.

Experts say that this series will not only be an important opportunity for both teams to prepare for the global T20 events but will also further strengthen cricketing ties between the two countries. Pakistani fans, especially Bangladeshi stars Mustafizur Rahman and Soumya Sarkar, are eagerly waiting to see their performances on the field.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), consideration is being given to holding the matches in different cities, while complete security and logistics arrangements are being made.
