APC declaration calls central, KP governments inept

In the detailed declaration of the All Parties Conference (APC) held at Governor House Peshawar, the central and KP governments were disqualified. It was the first time that a governor of a province hosted the APC for the “issues and rights” of the province. The participants disqualified the central and KP governments. KP’s ruling PTI did not participate in the APC and political leaders termed its absence as an act of incompetent leadership.. The participants expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation across the province and emphasized that the situation has worsened in the current year. He demanded immediate release of 3% funds allocated for former FATA and also requested implementation of recommendations of Sartaj Aziz Committee. The participants demanded that the details of all the leaders should be made public. He opened all trade routes on the Pak-Afghan border, availability of gas and. They demanded withdrawal of 2pc IDC imposed on Afghan trade. APC participants stressed the need to provide infrastructure for the province’s fair share of water resources. The APC called for the convening of the Council of Common Interests as required by the constitution, the establishment of an effective local government system and the indiscriminate release of funds to its representatives.. He expressed concern over the alleged discrepancies in the census data and recommended immediate reforms in the same. It was reported that more than 70 security personnel were martyred and 200 people lost their lives across the province in the current communal conflict in Karam. It was decided to form a political and technical committee to protect the financial and political interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
