Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz resigned as a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Wednesday, a day after his party colleague Omar Ayub also resigned. Resigned from the body. Faraz’s resignation follows a series of developments within the PTI, with both legislators resigning in the face of legal challenges. Faraz was nominated to the commission last month after the forum was reconstituted under the 26th constitutional amendment. I have decided to resign from the Judicial Commission due to the legal challenges I am currently facing. These challenges are preventing me from performing my duties effectively. It is in the best interest of the Commission.Someone else should be appointed who can fully focus on this important role.” He also nominated PTI Chairman Barrister Gauhar as his replacement in the Judicial Commission. Ayub requested the Speaker of the National Assembly. that they accept his resignation and formally appoint Gauhar in his place. Meanwhile, PTI sources have confirmed that party chairman Imran Khan has made changes in the party’s representatives in the judicial commission.
