IHC bars authorities from arresting Sher Afzal Marwat in any case

The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the parties seeking details of the cases against Sher Afzal Marwat after the protest at D Chowk. High Court Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard Marwat’s request. Marwat appeared in the court along with his lawyers Riaz Ali Azad and Osama Tariq. The court issued notices to the Secretary, Ministry of Interior, IGP of Islamabad and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).Stopped the police from making any arrests. The IHC also directed the Home Secretary and other officers to submit a report within a week on the details of the cases registered against Marwat. The Islamabad High Court adjourned the hearing of Marwat’s application till next Friday.
