Pakistani short film Muqaddas shone at Global Film Festivals

Pakistani short film Muqdus, directed by Khurram Zaidi, has made a significant impact on the international film festival circuit. The film tells the story of a young woman’s struggle for identity and freedom, set in the backdrop of Kashmir. Safar, the film’s protagonist struggles with the weight of his past, which shapes his present. Muqdas has been celebrated at several prestigious film festivals around the world. It has been exhibited in nine international festivalsand has won several awards including Best Cinematography at the 33rd International Film Festival in Beijing. At the Uruvatti International Film Festival in Chennai, it won accolades for Best Concept and Best Asian Short Film.
