Pakistan won the first test against West Indies at Multan on the third day of the match on Sunday by 127 runs, thus going one-up in the two-match series.Earlier, Pakistan was bowled out for 157 runs, giving the visitors the target of 251 runs to win the match.None of Pakistan’s batsmen could manage to stay at the crease for a longer period of time. Seven batsmen even did not enter the double figures. Shan Masood remained the top scorer with 52 runs to his credit.Huraira scored 29, Kamran Ghulam 27, Babar Azam 5, while Saud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan scored two runs each. Khurram Shahzad returned to the pavilion without scoring any runs.Jomel Warrican displayed an extraordinary performance by grabbing seven wickets.At stumps on the second day of the match, Pakistan, in their second innings, were three down at 109 runs. Kamran Ghulam and Saud Shakeel were at the crease.Pakistan had been bowled out for 230 runs in the first innings, while West Indies, in reply, scored just 137 runs.Strict security arrangements have been made in and around the venue.
