Pak Army holds five-day training for Waziristan police

Miran Shah: A special five-day training program for the police was organized by the Pakistan Army in Miran Shah, North Waziristan, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday. The objective of the training was to equip the police officers with the technical capabilities and skills necessary to deal with security situations. Police officers were trained to handle and use various weapons including hand grenades. They were trained in night firing as well as physical combat. Other training courses included bomb disposal, VIP protection and firing from moving vehicles. On November 30, the Deputy Commissioner’s office enacted a law. Three-day curfew due to ongoing security operation in South Waziristan. There will be a curfew from 5 am to 6 pm for three days in Singa and Ansar Sena areas. A curfew has been imposed due to the movement of security forces in the area. The operation is being carried out in response to the rise in militancy in the region
