Federal cabinet set to mull over 21-point agenda

– The agenda of the federal cabinet meeting to be held today (Monday) has been released. According to the notification, the meeting will be held at 4 pm in the Prime Minister’s House, in which the 21-point agenda will be considered. The meeting will review the tariffs of eight bagasse power plants, including JDW, Chiniot Power, Hamza Sugar, Al Mueez Industries, Thal Industries and Chinnar Industries. The agenda also includes a review of the decision to allow foreign travel on business class to ministers and federal secretaries. Meanwhile, the State Bank of Pakistan Amendment Bill 2024 will also be part of the discussion, which is reported to have received Cabinet approval in today’s meeting. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also take the cabinet with him regarding the approval of establishment of Islamabad Central Business District Development Authority as well as renewal of MoUs of overseas Pakistani chairs. Apart from this, the committee formed to stabilize urea prices will also brief the cabinet. Apart from this, Pakistan National Shipping Corporation will be classified as a strategic entity.
