90,000 Hajj pilgrims to travel under Road to Mecca project: Chief Operating Officer

 

Chief Operating Officer Airport Manager Aftab Gilani has said that preparations for the Hajj operation have been completed at Islamabad International Airport.

He said that 90,000 Hajj pilgrims will travel from Islamabad Airport under the Road to Mecca project. This year, more than 45,000 Hajj pilgrims will depart for the Holy Hijaz from Islamabad Airport.

Aftab Gilani says that Road to Mecca counters will be set up soon to facilitate Hajj pilgrims.He added that the Road to Mecca project will be available at the airports of Islamabad and Karachi.It should be remembered that yesterday, Saudi Arabia allowed 10,000 more Pakistanis to perform Hajj.

The Pakistani Ministry of Information has said that Pakistan has made a special request to increase the Hajj quota for Hajj pilgrims.According to the Ministry of Information, now 10,000 more Pakistani citizens can perform Hajj.
