India (Anmol News) Indian President Ram Nath Kovind has signed a bill to abolish Article 370 that gives special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir in reference to Kashmir.

Indian Home Minister, Amit Shah, proposed a resolution to abolish Kashmir’s special status in the Rajya Sabha (Indian parliament), which caused a lot of turmoil in the House.

India has deployed 70,000 more troops in occupied Kashmir, curfew was imposed in Indian occupied Kashmir, political leaders were also detained in houses, and exams have postponed in educational institutions.

The Kashmir conflict is a territorial conflict primarily between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir region. The conflict started after the partition of India in 1947 as a dispute over the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir and escalated into three wars between India and Pakistan and several other armed skirmishes. China has also been involved in the conflict in a third-party role.
