11 dead, including 4 Pakistanis, as migrant boat capsizes in Libya

 

Another migrant boat capsized in Libya, 11 bodies recovered, four of whom have been identified as Pakistanis

.A report sent by the Pakistani embassy in Libya to the foreign ministry said the boat capsized on April 12 near the Harwa coast near the city of Sirte in eastern Libya.

Eleven bodies have been recovered from the scene so far, four of whom are Pakistanis. A team from the Pakistani embassy visited the city of Sirajganj to gather information about the incident and identified four bodies as Pakistanis from national documents.Three of them belong to Mandi Bahauddin and one belongs to Gujranwala.

According to the report, Zahid Mahmood son of Liaquat Ali belongs to Gujranwala, while Sameer Ali son of Raja Abdul Qadeer, Syed Ali Hussain son of Shafqat Al-Hussain and Asif Ali son of Nazar Muhammad belong to Mandi Bahauddin.Two of the bodies have not yet been identified, while five are Egyptian nationals.

The Pakistani embassy is in contact with the local authorities for more information about the accident.
